A guidance document has been prepared to explain more fully how a Community Library Partnership works.
The provision and circulation of book stock and ICT equipment and technical support and volunteer training and supervision will continue to be provided by Somerset County Council for a Community Partnership Library. In addition to this core offer, funding for some communities – those that are likely to have more difficulty accessing alternative libraries, or where local needs are higher – is being provided to support the local community organisation taking on the management of their library.
